Kelebihan dan Kekurangan Sedan Honda Civic Genio 1992-1994Sudah lama juga ya tidak posting artikel tentang otomotif. pada posting kali ini akan dibahas mengenai kekurangan dan kelebihan mobil sedan honda civic genio 92 – 94. artikel ini referensinya dari seseorang yang dulu pernah menggunakan honda civic genio, yaitu pemilik blog blognyamitra.wordpress.com.
sedikit cerita tentang Honda Civic Genio
sedang honda civic genio ini merupakan generasi ke lima dari varian civic, mobil ini juga dikelan dengan nama Honda Civic EG dan diproduksi pada tahun 1992 sampe dengan 1995.
Di Indonesia Honda Civic ini terdiri dari 2 varian yaitu tipe sedan (4 pintu) & hatchback (2 pintu). Yang 4 pintu dikenal dengan nama Civic Genio sedangkan yang tipe 2 pintu bernama Civic Estilo. Dalam bahasa Matahari Terbit, Genio mempunyai arti genius sedangkan estilo berarti stylish.
Civic Genio yang pada masanya punya rival berat yaitu Toyota Great Corolla mengusung mesin berkapasitas 1600 cc, 4 silinder, SOHC, 16 valve mengeluarkan tenaga sekitar 120 dk. Ada 2 transmisi yang ditawarkan yaitu manual & matik. spesifikasi mesin honda Genio sama persis dengan Civic Estilo. Sayang sekali spek mesin yang dijual di Indonesia ini adalah termasuk kasta paling rendah, kebiasaan pabrikan sini yang doyan spec down buat ngejar harga jual. Kasta tertinggi dari Civic EG ini mengusung mesin 1600 cc, 4 silinder, DOHC, VTEC, 16 valve & ouput yang dikeluarkan mencapai 165 dk !!! sebuah tenaga mobil standar yang cukup menakjubkan pada masa itu.
berikut ini adalah kelebihan dan kekurangan mobil sedan honda civic genio
Kelebihan :
* Lekuk bodi yang bulat, aerodinamis & tidak kaku membuat mobil ini tidak ketinggalan jaman meski sudah berumur.
* Image Honda membuat mobil ini mempunyai resale value / harga jual yang baik.
* Meski belum mengusung teknologi VTEC seperti Honda Civic Ferio (generasi setelah Civic Genio) konsumsi BBM cukup irit, dalam kota rata2 sekitar 1:10 & luar kota 1:12.
* Sparepart cukup banyak di pasaran mulai dari yang orisinal hingga yang kelas KW tersedia. Limbah2 bodi & jeroan ex-Singapore juga banyak yang jual disini.
* Dalam kondisi standar & mesin sehat, mobil ini bisa digeber hingga 180 km/h bahkan lebih.
* Roda belakang sudah dilengkapi dengan cakram sehingga tak usah ragu buat yang doyan ngebut.
* Suspensi double wishbone khas Honda membuat mobil ini cukup nyaman dipake.
* Interior termasuk lega dibandingkan dengan rival2nya. Seatbelt belakang pun tersedia kecuali untuk Civic Genio keluaran 1992-1993.
* Buat yang doyan nginjek pedal gas dalam2, doping penambah tenaga cukup banyak tersedia di pasaran.
Kekurangan :
* Pajak mobil berkisar 1,5 jt – 1,7 jt, cukup mahal untuk mobil yang sudah berumur.
* Mesin belum menerapkan tekonologi VTEC-E (economy), jika diterapkan konsumsi BBM bisa ditekan lagi.
* Kualitas doortrim dimana plastik/fiber gampang pecah / retak. Konsekuensinya kudu biqin fiber ulang ato pake doortrim limbah ex-Singapura.
* Bahan jok kurang bagus, busa juga terkesan gampang kempis.
* Sektor kaki2 cukup ringkih, apalagi kalo sering lewat jalan jelek umur komponen gak bakal nyampe 2 tahun.
* Civic Genio/Estilo tahun 1992-1993 masih menganut radiator 1 ply, mesin gampang overheat. Untungnya sudah diperbaiki dengan menggunakan radiator 2 ply buat keluaran tahun 1994-1995.
* Minim tempat nyimpan barang di interior, dah gitu kagak ada console box lagi. Susah buat naruh botol air mineral, minuman kaleng dsb.
* Baut pulley gampang koyak, kudu sering dicek, sebaiknya diganti pada waktu ganti timing belt, belt P/S, belt alternator dkk,
